This Week at Bates

Can you believe that it is the final week of February?!?! Longer and warmer days ahead! March is reading month and we will have a variety of activities planned to celebrate reading?

Did you know that the one most important thing that you can do to support your child as a reader is to read with them every day? So cuddle up with your child, a book, and a blanket on these cold winter days.

Thank you for all the Valentine's cards and treats you sent in with your child to support their celebrations- it was good to see our students have a "kinda normal" experience. Lots of happy faces.

Fall Picture Retake Day - Tuesday, March 2nd

Retakes will only be taken for students who missed picture day in the Fall or if you were dissatisfied with your student's Fall picture.

In-person students will have pictures taken in the afternoon.

Remote students will have pictures taken after school between 3:45-5:00.

Pictures have to be ordered online with Lifetouch! See information below.

Daily Health Screener - Must Be Completed Everyday

In order to implement more stringent health screening protocols, we are now expecting that a parent completes the health screener, online, for their child(ren), each day that they are to be in attendance. This is the same process that all employees in the WBSD have been completing.

This is an important requirement for the district to continue our face to face instruction. This screener is similar to the one that we have been asking you to do daily since the beginning of the year. This screener is available on an online platform through a google form application.

Please note that if you answered yes to any of the questions in the screener you will need to keep your child home and follow the guidance provided by the Wayne County Health Department.

Please use the link below.
