Cooper Landing School Updates
Administrator Meet & Greet - Our new administrator, Cindy McKibben, will be at the school this Thursday, May 12 from 2:30-3:15 for a meet and greet. Everyone welcome!
A.L.I.C.E. Drill – A State Trooper from Seward will be coming to the school on May 12 to conduct an A.L.I.C.E. (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) drill. This is required once per semester. He will talk to the kids about what to do if there is ever an intruder in the school.
Written & Illustrated/Awards – On Monday, May 16 at 10 am, students will gather to read their story books they have written & illustrated. Awards for the year will also be presented. This will all happen via Zoom for the families and community to enjoy. A link will be sent that morning.
Last Day Festivities – The last day of school is May 18! Student lunch will be at 1:00 and families are welcome to join us and bring a sack lunch. Water festivities will begin at 1:30.

Hope School Happenings
Please attend the Title 1 Reading Picnic on May 12th, 2022 at 2:00 PM.
We are looking forward to your attendance at the May 10th PTO in-person meeting at the school at 3:45 PM for details on upcoming events as well as an opportunity to meet and greet your newly assigned Principal for the upcoming 2022-2023 Hope school year and one of your newly signed Hope School teacher. Wow! Lots of change and wonderful optimism for the future!
You may register your students online for our 2022-2023 School year on our KPBSD site https://kpbsd.org/students-parents/student-registration/. Additionally, you may come to school on August 11, 2022 between 12:00PM to 4:00 PM or August 12, 2022 between 9:00AM to 1:00PM.

May 10th: PTO Meeting @ 3:45 PM-WELCOMING OUR 2022-2023 PRINCIPAL
May 12th: Title 1 Reading Picnic at Hope School at 2:00PM. We look forward to each of you taking this special opportunity to absolutely be present and included in your child's education. Mrs. Schwentor would like to take this time to bring students, parents and teachers together to share information which would be beneficial.
May 13th: Mrs. Schwentor will be having a Glow in the Dark event for her students in her classroom.
May 18th: LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS, Please be sure to turn in all school books or equipment.
May 18th: Field day/Picnic at the school time beginning at noon. Conformation for this event will be made at the May 3rd PTO meeting.
We were unable to have our PTO Meeting as scheduled last week. You may be notified by email about some future activities for fundraisers at the last minute via email or text.
Week Ending 05/20/2022: Mrs. Peck may be heading a trash pick-up day for the children next week as a community project.
