Preschool Screening
85% of brain growth occurs before a child turns the age of 5. Preschool provides an environment for children to explore, gain a sense of self, play with peers and build self-confidence. Children learn they can accomplish tasks and make decisions without the help of their parents.
Join us for a screening on Friday, January 13th to join our program!
Call 815-786-8812 and ask for Sandy Moody, the Preschool Secretary at Haskin.

Winter Weather is Here!!!
Winter weather is here. Our school policy is to go outside for recess any time the temperature, including wind chill, is 10 degrees or higher as stated in our handbook. Please make sure your child is properly dressed for the weather. Hats, mittens, boots, snow pants, and a warm coat are all needed for the colder weather.
St. Jude Math-A-Thon
The kick-off for our St. Jude Math-a-thon will be Friday, January 9, 2023. During P.E. class, the children will receive instructions and money collection envelope on that day. Included in the booklet is the permission/consent form. If your child is going to participate, please choose whether they want to have a print version of the math booklet or do the work on the computer. Permission slips need to be turned in by Friday, January 13th, so we can order the booklets for your student to participate.
The Math-a-thon will end on Friday, February 10, 2023. Please have your donations turned in to Haskin by that time.
Franklin Mall Drive
Thank you to all that participated and for your generous contributions in making our Franklin Mall food drive a success! Haskin School collected MANY canned goods for the needy!
