Lincoln Bulletin
This week Lincoln hosted our Lincoln Reads Family literacy night. Mrs. Dainko and Mrs. DiPalarmo created a wonderful interactive evening for families who read the classic Charlotte's Web By E.B. White. The evening included an engineering activity where all were interested and highly engaged in learning. Thank you to those who attended.
The 90th planning committee had a meeting Wednesday and we finalized our all-school assembly to commemorate the 90th year anniversary on Thursday, March 21 at 1:45. The broader community celebration will take place on Thursday, May 16 during an evening event beginning at approximately 5:30--more details will come. If you know of alumni in the area interested in attending please pass along the details of the May event.
MORNING DROPOFF ON ILLINOIS AVENUE
Please keep in mind that at morning drop off we want our students to exit their vehicles and enter the building as safely as possible. With that said, please make every attempt to minimize the amount of time your car is parked. If students exit the vehicle in a timely manner, cars are able to pull forward and we alleviate any log jams.
Secondly, we take every measure to ensure Lincoln is as safe and secure as possible. At 8:40, we no longer have supervision at the door on Illinois Avenue. Therefore, we lock all doors promptly at 8:40. Students arriving to school at 8:40 or after need to enter through the main entrance. Our learning starts at 8:40, so prompt arrival is appreciated.
Indiana is barricaded and should only be accessed by the school bus during both morning arrival and dismissal. Please make sure you are not parking inside the barricades or going around the barricades. This safety measure was reinstated after conversations with the St. Charles police. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration has already begun. Lincoln’s website is conveniently linked to all of the incoming kindergarten registration forms. This site will give you access to all the forms necessary for registering your child. This has been very helpful to expedite the registration process and has been well received by parents! There is also a helpful “All Day Kindergarten FAQ” on this site as well. Please pass this information on to any incoming kindergarten families that are in your neighborhood.
