Code of Conduct Feedback Sessions
Do you have thoughts or feedback about the Code of Conduct? Join us for the last feedback session for the year on March 28 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be virtual.
Free Great Kids Farm family hours
Looking for a free and fun afternoon activity this week? Head over to Great Kids Farm this Wednesday, March 29 from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. to meet the animals, see what's growing and explore the woods and stream! This event is open and free for all families of City Schools students and staff members. Click HERE to register.
COVID test kits for Spring Break
Schools will be closed on April 3 - 10 for Spring Break. Before Spring Break, City Schools will provide COVID test kits to every student. Students should take the tests one to two days before returning to school and report any positive cases to our contact tracing team at 443-984-1200 or covidresponse@bcps.k12.md.us.
Summer Learning
Now's a great time to start planning for summer learning! Check out our Summer Program Directory, which lists all the different programs City Schools will be offering this summer. Registration will begin in April so keep an eye out for registration information.
Some schools may offer their own summer programs that are not listed in the directory. Those schools will share information with families directly.
Pre-k and Kindergarten registration
Do you know a little one turning four or five by September 1? It's time to get them ready for school!
Enrollment for kindergarten and priority 1 pre-k students opens on April 17. Learn about priority placements for pre-k, see a list of documents you'll need to enroll, and find your zoned school on our website.

Baltimore City Public Schools is recruiting teachers for the upcoming 2023-24 school year. We are adding lots of new teaching jobs in the new school year, and we are looking for qualified teachers, to give the children of Baltimore City the best education possible. 2nd Annual Chromebook Wallpaper Design Contest
Calling all student designers! City Schools is having the 2nd annual Chromebook Wallpaper Design Contest. Students in grades 6-12 are invited to submit their designs from March 21 through April 21. The winning designs will be the new Chromebook background for the 2023-24 school year!
School Police survey
City Schools Police wants to hear from students and families. How can they better support school communities and keep students and staff safe? Please take the short survey, open now through April 21.
The survey is only for schools that have a permanent assigned school police officer. If your school is not named among the schools on the survey, no response is needed.
Special Education Parent Involvement survey
For families with students who are receiving special education or related services: The Maryland Special Education Parent Involvement Survey is now open. Your voice can make a difference for your child and children across the state of Maryland.
New National Honor Society chapter honors students
“NHS means togetherness to me. Coming together with peers to acknowledge our excellence and the fact that we’re set apart from others for a reason. I’m happy to be a part of NHS” - Kaream Wilson, 11th grader at Green Street Academy.

Are you passionate about supporting current high school students on their path to graduation and beyond? If so, CollegeBound is looking for you! Sign up to become a volunteer mentor, and help City Schools students get ready for college and career.
Baltimore Ravens Touchdown for Teachers
Do you know a teacher who goes above and beyond? The Baltimore Ravens Touchdown for Teachers program™, presented by M&T Bank, recognizes local teachers for outstanding service to their schools and communities. One teacher will receive a $5,000 grant for their school, a school visit by a Ravens player, Poe and Cheerleaders, and a Ravens jersey.
The deadline to nominate a teacher is Friday, April 7.
