Brayden is a big fan of the Green Bay Action Sports Organization (GBASO). Earlier this year, GBASO found itself needing a new home, and Brayden took it upon himself to host a hot chocolate and cookie fundraiser to support the organization. In addition, at his first-ever birthday party with friends, rather than gifts, he asked for donations to GBASO. Through these donations, Brayden raised more than $1,200.

HSSD has adopted the I Love You Guys Foundation Standard Response Protocol (SRP). Students and staff will be training, and practicing the protocol. The SRP is based on an all-hazards approach. It utilizes clear, common language while allowing for flexibility within the protocol. Learn more about the SRP on our website.
HSSD Graduate Profile Video
The Graduate Profile is HSSD's north star. In preparation for the school year, staff viewed a video at August Professional Development Days featuring an update on our Graduate Profile work.
Building Your Sources of Strength
Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! Our theme for this year focuses on identifying and building your sources of strength. In each edition of The Compass, we will focus on a different area as we build our resilience and overall wellness.
There are eight areas of strength. This month we ask you to look at Family Support. Take some time to reflect and discuss the following questions with your family.
What unique traditions do you have in your family?
What makes a “family?”
Who in your own family supports you? How do they show support?
Who do you consider to be your “family of choice?” How do they support you?
How do you show family support to others?
