A Peek at the Week

Spirit Week

Bright Week is also Spirit Week at PCA! Each day of the week was celebrated in a different way. On Tuesday, students were able to bring their favorite games to school. Teachers set aside some time so students could interact and play games with each other. On Wednesday, was Pajama Day! I believe this was everyone's favorite day of the week. Students and staff were able to come to school dressed in their pajamas. We were so comfortable all day long! On Thursday, we had Crazy Hair Day! Students got extremely creative! We were so impressed and amazed with some of the crazy hair styles. Finally, on Friday, we had Sports Day! Students came to school dressed in their favorite Sports Attire! Needless to say, students had a great time all week long!

Law Day Essay

Our 4th/5th Grade students took part in the Hellenic Bar Association's Law Day Competition this year. The Hellenic Bar Association provides us the question for the Law Day Essay. We had the privilege of having Katerina, an attorney and part of the Hellenic Bar Association, came to our school to announce the winning essays. Katerina explained the different kinds of lawyers and their responsibilities. Our 4th/5th grade students had so many questions regarding the law, and she patiently answered all of their questions. Katerina was very informative and inspirational.

The winning essays will be read on May 12th in Judge Kocoras' courtroom at the Federal Courthouse. Congratulations to Jimmy and Yiana for writing the winning essays. It was a very difficult decision as all of our students wrote exceptional essays. We are extremely proud of our students and their teacher, Mrs. Aleka, for all of their hard work and for representing PCA.

PCA: Positive Choices Always

Pricipal's Honor Award

In order to promote making positive choices, building character, and acts of kindness, we have created an all school incentive opportunity. All staff members consistently look for students that are making positive choices. When a student is "caught being good" they receive a special hand to place on our school wall. At the end of the month, we counted all the hands from each classroom. The student with the most 'hands' earned the Principal's Honor Award, a special lunch, and prizes for their positive behavior. Congratulations to our April winners. Keep making Positive Choices Always!
