A family Newsletter: Summer Edition

Meet Mrs. Rodgers

It is such an honor and privilege to serve the students, teachers, and families of T.E. Baxter Elementary! I began teaching 14 years ago because I strongly believe that there is no partnership more important in the lives of our children than the parent-teacher team! Each day I get the pleasure of working with teachers continually designing lessons that engage students that allow them to be the innovators of tomorrow! My husband and I are blessed to raise our two children in this wonderful community where we both get to be a part of such an innovative school system that is preparing students for their future! The Rodgers family could not be more #MISDProud!

Meet Mr. Rogers

There are so many incredible things happening on our campus, and all around Midlothian ISD, and I feel very blessed to be part of this T.E. Baxter family! I am entering my 12th year in education, with 9 years of teaching experience and 2 years in school administration. One of the things I enjoy most about being an Assistant Principal is the opportunity to connect and interact with each student and teacher at our school. My wife and I have three children ages 10, 7, and 3, and we love being actively involved in our Midlothian community and school district, as both school employees and parents.I am extremely excited to start this school year and help students not only reach their goals but surpass them through meaningful and fun learning experiences!

Wow! You may not even recognize the place!

We are so Blessed to have had a total renovation to our building this summer! So many people have had a hand in creating the innovative vision for our great campus and it has come together so beautifully! We now have large collaboration areas for our students, flexible furniture in every classroom, and new interior walls and floors to assist in the continued culture! We can't wait to share it with you all!

Parent Volunteers

We would love for all of our parents and families to get involved on our campus and with our students! Our goal this year is to have every family spend at least 12 hours in partnership with us throughout the year! Each week, I will be sending out campus and teacher requests for assistance in our newsletter with a sign-up sheet. It may be reading to students, monitoring the playground, helping out in the lunchroom, printing and cutting things for student use or any variety of things. We know every family has talents to share and we want you all to take part in the amazing culture of Baxter Elementary alongside us!

Each week you will see links to sign up sheets for particular activities!
