Clip Your Box Tops Now!
Box Tops Drive is “Clipping Along”! - Our Box Tops for Education contest is off and running. We earn 10 cents per box top. Keep saving and sending in your box tops until the end of January. They should be counted in groups of 50 (or less) and placed in a Ziploc snack size bag, marked with the quantity and a homeroom number. The top three classes that collect the most box tops will receive a soft pretzel and goodie party. Good Luck!
Alumni Steering Committee
Alumni Steering Committee
For many years now, I've lamented that we lose many generous volunteers at Salford Hills simply because their children move on to middle school and the natural relationship between families and our school is broken. I content that there must be a way to bridge this gap and work actively to engage interested individuals for as long as they are willing to serve. Additionally, there are members of our community who may be willing to volunteer if they felt invited.
It is the purpose of the Alumni Steering Committee to discuss these possibilities in the hopes of garnering support and adding to the ranks of generous volunteers who currently fulfill many functions at Salford Hills
Would you consider joining us for an initial meeting? We hope to see you on January 17 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM in the cafeteria. The January Home and School meeting will follow.
If you can not make the meeting and would like to join the Alumni Group, please email cstankus@comcast.net. Don't forget to spread the word to all alumni young and old!
Thank Those Who Donated!
A Generous Community
In the past month or so, the Salford Hills Community supported many "empathy in action" endeavors. It fills our hearts to share the results of these projects:
- Mitzvah Circle Clothing Drive - 30 bags of clothing
- Angel Tree - $1,700 in gift cards
- Peter Powerhouse Foundation in care of Molly - $2,350
Thank you for your kindness and the beautiful example you share with our children.
