Grade Check/ Progress Reports: Update all grades by 8 a.m. September 21
Friday September 18th is the official UIL 6 weeks grade check. Please note that this grade check affects students in any Fine or Performing Art program, Speech and Debate or any in-season sport. Any student who is failing one or more courses at the end of the school day on September 18th will become ineligible. Please have all grades updated by 8:00 am on Monday, September 21st so that the official UIL grade check reports can be created. After 8:00 am on Monday September 21st, please do not enter, change, or adjust any grades until the next day, Tuesday, September 22nd. If a student has outstanding assignments and will be allowed to turn in those assignments after 9/18, please remember to give the student an Incomplete. Please let Erin Street know if you have any questions.
Please also send out your progress reports to all your students on Monday, September 21.
This semester and possibly this year, we will not be able to print and distribute progress reports due to over half our students being remote. We will be asking teachers to send progress reports out to each of your classes through Pinnacle. These are the instructions for how to do this:
In pinnacle go to reports and then select Student Assignment Report. You then go to the bottom of the screen and click email. It will then create email to send to all parents and where you can type in a general message for them. You then hit send or submit.
New Staff Position
Hello PSHS Staff and Community!
My name is Angelica Escobedo, and I am this year's Communities in Schools Site Coordinator. My role is to provide daily intervention to high-need students and families. I help students overcome challenges and barriers that are not allowing them to succeed in school. As staff, you can submit recommendation forms if you feel that one of your students can benefit from our resources.
I am currently in the Student Center, next to Ms. Hall if you wish to stop by and say hello or if you have any questions. Please check out my website to learn more. You can also use this site to access recommendation forms. I look forward to working with you all this school year.
Thank you for all that you do. I'm here to help!

Students Staying Online vs In person
Daily COVID Screening Required for Staff
Starting Monday, August 31st, as you walk into any of the buildings on campus, you will see a poster on most of the entrance doors with “ALL STAFF” at the top along with a QR code (See the attached poster). This QR code is linked to a COVID screening checklist that every staff member must fill out DAILY. In the event of a positive COVID test, this will enable the contact tracing investigative team to track who was on campus at the same time as the person with the positive test.
You DO NOT have to complete the checklist if you go from building to building on campus throughout the day. Only the first time you arrive on campus each day. This daily screening replaces the In/Out screening that we were doing previously.
If you find it easier to put the daily screening on your phone, the link to the Google Form is https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1mCSaxEjf4t9wbiX0u4N9sT7YozpVuiOoU_0qjXGbgGo/edit. Simply open up the link and add it to your home screen. Instructions on how to add this link to your IPhone or Android home screen is attached to this email.
Visitors will be required to do this when they come on campus as well. You will see separate posters for visitors (in English and Spanish) at several of the entrances frequented by those visiting our campus.
Wednesday PD
- mandatory meeting specific to your content, typically once a month
- other training you are encouraged but not required to attend
In any case, you can join these meetings from wherever you need to be should you have responsibilities that fall between 4:30 and 5:30.
