This month of March we want to encourage our Students, Staff, Elders and Friends of YTC to practice Nutrition. Ryan Taje our Student Services Coordinator is planning some wonderful activities based around food and wellness, look out for more information as he will connect will you through your ytced.ca email.

You are welcome to join and attend Yoga classes!

Who can attend? All YTC Students and Staff, its free for you!

When? Every Tuesday & Thursday

Where? Room 271 on the 2nd floor in the college

Time? Doors will be unlocked at 12:00pm, Yoga will start at 12:10- 12:45pm.

What do I bring? Your own water bottle & dress comfortably, we will supply the yoga mats.

Who is teaching Yoga? Certified Yoga Instructor Nicole Oort

Monthly Elders Schedule

Our Elders are on site as scheduled in the calendar above. Our Elders are accessible to our students and staff on a daily basis to provide guidance and support. Please connect with our receptionist Leila BIgchild at the front desk in the library or email leila.bigchild@ytced.ca to make arrangements to work with our Elders. Leila will schedule time that works best for you to access Elder support. Our Elders are fluent speakers of our Indigenous Languages (Cree, Nakota/Stoney & Anishnaabe) They can provide further support and guidance for your programming. Again, we encourage our students to connect with Leila to schedule time to access Elder support, she will coordinate time that works best for both you and your selected Elder(s). This is also continuous on-going support, we look forward to you inquiring to work with our Elders.

Green Bannock Day

Staff will be making green bannock for students for St. Patrick's Day. Students can come by to the library to pick up some yummy green bannock to enjoy!

Lunch & Learn with our YTC Dietician

Friday, March 24th, 12pm

Please join us for a lunch and learn presentation with our YTC Dietician, she will provide you with beneficial information all pertaining to nutrition. This event will take place in room 230 and online. Ryan Taje will email you the google meet invitation to join closer to the date.

Green Smoothies

EAT YOUR GREENS! We will be providing delicious green smoothies to promote nutrition to our students. You can pick up your green smoothie in the library before heading to your afternoon class!
