Who is giving credit for the invention of eyeglasses?
The creator of eyeglasses is a mystery. There is no evidence that a certain person created them. Multiple of people started to make models of eyeglasses but we are unsure who originally created them.
Who is given credit for bringing it to life?
Historians do not know who originally created eyeglasses during the Renaissance, but they do know that eyeglasses were painted into paintings during 1287. Eyeglasses were invented in Italy. Edward Scarlett was given credit for bringing the modern style of glasses that go over your ears and nose, and the first wearable glasses were created in the thirteenth century. Benjamin Franklin was the person that has been credited for the invention of bifocals. Salvino D'Armate has also been given a little credit for creating eyeglasses.

Eyeglasses originated around 1300s. It is unsure the exact date of it originating, but during 1300, they started making laws for eyeglasses.
Eyeglasses Invention
Eyeglasses were not invented by any person. They were seen on paintings during the Renaissance. The original glasses were made out of wood, bones, leather, copper, and other materials. The lenses themselves were made from rock crystals. The lens were two magnifying glasses connected with a bar that rested on your nose for the frame.
Describing the importance of eyeglasses
The importance of the eyeglasses was really needed following the printing press that was invented by Gutenberg. Many books were written and printed; these new books brought more information to the common people. They needed these eyeglasses to be able to read and understand the new knowledge more easily.
Eyeglasses through the years
Even though the origin of eyeglasses is difficult to specifically identify, their use has continued to be helpful to all people who needed them. The abilities to read written words and books continue to help ophthalmologists in their goals to provide 20/20 vision for anyone who needs glasses to correct their vision. Today, people can have good vision because of prescription glasses and bifocals.
