Heather Hastie-Ulery, Principal, A.C. Davis High School
Congratulations to A.C. Davis HS Principal Heather Hastie-Ulery
The Yakima School District is proud to announce that Heather Hastie-Ulery will serve in the role of Principal of A.C. Davis High School. Ms. Hastie-Ulery currently serves YSD as an Assistant Principal at A.C. Davis High School. Her new position will begin on July 1, 2021.
At Davis, Heather is a strong instructional leader and has overseen the migrant, science, and mathematics programs. She also served on several district committees, such as the Equity Coalition and MTSS Leadership Team. Heather is excited to remain at Davis where she can collaborate with others in order to best serve students and families.
Her prior positions include being an assistant superintendent of teaching and learning, both in Washington and in Kansas, as well as a manager of categorical programs here at YSD. She completed her superintendent credential at Washington State University and will start her doctoral program at the University of Washington this summer.
Heather lives in Yakima with her husband, son, and daughter and is passionate about music and camping. Her wide range of experiences in teaching music and ELA, working with math and science departments, as well as being a long-term building and experienced district administrator give her the background needed to fill this role.
