4POINTS ACADEMY K-8 SCHOOL
A Private, 21st Century Micro-School
Benefits of Small Class Sizes - The benefits of a micro-school learning environment
Micro-schools intentionally promote small class sizes to provide an environment where students and teachers know each other well and where flexibility in learning modalities is understood. Some of the benefits of small classes offered in the micro-schools include:
- Each student gets noticed and received individualized attention
- Better academic results as Learning is enhanced
- Class becomes a community and students become more confident
- Teachers can address the needs of each students and not simply follow a rigid district-wide curriculum
- All children are given an opportunity to and are encouraged to participate
- More teacher and parent feedback about student progress and needs
- Students and teachers can work one-on-one
- Project-based learning and experiential learning is enhanced
- Flexibility to allow students to explore social or sports interest outside of school
All these benefits are part of our program at 4Points. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where we can cater to the needs of each of our students. With our small class sizes, we are able to blend our online curriculum and teacher-led instruction to truly differentiate among our students.
In addition to our core academic courses, we also offer Mandarin and Spanish, music, IT/programming, and PE. To learn more about us, visit our website or give us a call at 512-991-7950. Join us for one of our scheduled Open Houses by registering below.

Spotlight on New Director - Renee W. - Bringing 43+ Years of Experience as an Educator in Austin
Renee W. is the ultimate educator! As a girl, she was strongly influenced by her mom, who had a PhD in Education and who served as a Vice President of Huston Tillotson College. Renee herself graduated with a Bachelors in Education, a Masters in Science education, and an Education Administration Certification.
Renee has over 43 years of teaching and administrative experience. She started her career as a middle school science teacher and a high school science teacher in Austin ISD. She then ventured into administration, working as an Assistant Principal in Austin ISD, Eanes ISD, and then Leander ISD. As a testimony to her administrative skill she was appointed Director for Student Support in Leander ISD and served in that position until her retirement.
Renee is recognized for her ability to connect with students in her classroom and the wider school. She is also immensely skilled in fostering productive relationship with parents and fellow teachers. As a part of the Director Team at 4Points Academy, Renee has been invaluable in helping to hone the vision of the school, and constantly reminds us of the need to maintain the uttermost quality in providing educational services to our students and parents.
Parents will have an opportunity to meet with Director Renee during the school's Open House event on January 19th 9:30a-11:30a. (See registration details below)
