IMPORTANT: 2- Hour Delay Clarification

Clarification for families that use the Boys and Girls Club Before School Care - This program WILL be open on all delay days. There was some confusion on this last day and they closed the morning care by mistake. This program and service will still be available at normal time on all future delay days.

Yearbooks

We have last year Yearbooks for sale in the bookstore and in the main office for $15 each. You can pay with cash or make checks payable to North Vernon Elementary School.

Attention: 6th, 7th, 8th grade boys and girls

We would like to invite you to join the JCMS swim team. This year, Jennings County Schools are allowing 6th graders to participate on the Jennings County Middle School Swim Team.

There will be an informational student and parent meet on Wednesday January 13th 2021 at 6:00pm at the JCMS pool bleachers. Here we will discuss expectations for the students, pass out all the essential paperwork, as well as discuss expectations for the students, as well as, discuss opportunities for parents to help out.

Remember, you must have a physical & a concussion form on file in the athletic office BEFORE you can practice.

Practices will begin on Tuesday, January 19th from 5:30 – 7:30pm. Practices will be Monday- Friday from 5:30- 7:30pm until the high school season is done then we will transition to after school practices. A calendar will be distributed at the informational meeting.

Our season consists of 7meets, one of which is the Indian Creek Invitational. Our season will conclude with the last meet being on March 9th, 2021.

PTO Donut Fundraiser

PTO Donut Fundraiser will be on Sunday, Jan. 17th at Bohemian Donuts in downtown North Vernon, 216 E. Walnut St., North Vernon, IN 47265 from 7:00am - 2:00 pm. Indoor service or preboxed curbside service will be offered. Bohemian Donuts phone # 812-614-4788.

Birthday Celebrations

Just a quick reminder, that if your student will be celebrating a birthday and you are wanting to bring classroom celebration goodies, please check-in with your students teacher for a good day to bring those in. Also, the goodies will need to be individually wrapped and store bought.

Outside Recess

It is that time of year again where the temperatures outside require a jacket. Please be sure to send your student to school with a jacket, hat and gloves. We have outdoor recesses as long as weather will allow it.
