Cohort Calendars
Our instructional calendars have been updated. Please familiarize yourself with the calendar for your child's cohort. Students will generally have live or in-person classes four days per week. There is typically a Remote Learning Day, Teacher Work Day, or Holiday scheduled one day per week. October 28 has been added as a Remote Learning Day for all students.

Principal's Message
Greetings Eagle Families!
We are thankful for your continued support! Our school board made some pretty big decisions last week. I want to take a moment to explain those decisions and let you know about some exciting events coming up for our Eagle Family!
First, our school will have Remote Learning Days on Wednesday, October 7th, and Wednesday, October 14th. This means lessons and work for the day will be posted in Google Classroom, but there will not be a typical schedule of “live lessons”. It will be important that students complete their assignments on these days as attendance will be taken based on assignment completion. Teachers will use these days to plan for the shifts they need to make to teach both virtual and in-person lessons and to ensure the safety of students as we prepare for them to return to our building. (Some teachers may request that students meet them for small group or one-on-one sessions on these dates.) View the updated Semester 1 Elementary Calendar here.
Later this month, students who are not enrolled in our Virtual Academy will begin attending some classes in person. Virtual Academy students will continue to receive all of their instruction online. All students who attend classes in person, will be required to wear a face covering and follow safety protocols while they are at school.
Our school board made the following decisions for our non-Virtual Academy (Plan B) students this week:
Pre-k - 3rd grade Plan B students will begin a phased-in return to in-person instruction on October 26.
Each student has been assigned to a cohort.
Each cohort of students will attend school in-person for one week between October 26 and November 13. They will continue receiving remote instruction during the other 2-weeks.
Starting November 16, our pre-k - 3rd grade students, our Plan B students will have in-person classes daily, unless a remote learning day, teacher workday, or holiday is scheduled.
Cohort assignments were emailed on 10/7.
4th and 5th grade Plan B students will begin returning to school in 3-week rotations, starting on November 16th.
Each student has been assigned to a cohort.
Each cohort will attend school in-person once every three weeks. They will receive online instruction during the other two weeks.
4th and 5th graders will continue this 3-week rotation until the end of the semester, January 15.
Cohort assignments were emailed on 10/7.
All Virtual Academy students will remain in Virtual Academy as planned.
Due to these shifts, some schedule and classroom changes will be necessary. We will contact you directly if your child is impacted.
I will host a special Q & A Session for our Plan B Families on Tuesday, October 20 at 6pm. Google Meeting information will be shared closer to the event date.
Be safe, and be well.
~Mrs. Curtis
It's Time to Drop off Medication!
If your student needs to take medication during the school day, we encourage you to visit the school to drop the medication off, prior to October 26, if possible.
When you come, please bring a copy of the 1702 form from your child's doctor along with their medication.
Only one parent will be allowed to enter the school after completing a health screening. Please do not bring children with you. Only one parent will be allowed into the office at a time.
Please contact Ms. Jones (jjones8@wcpss.net) if you have any questions.
