## ASSIGNMENT DUE DATE WAS FRIDAY, MARCH 27TH BY MIDNIGHT

Only work from 3/17-3/28 can now be submitted. Work from previous dates will not be accepted. Technical difficulties are not an excuse for an assignment to be late. Work submitted on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday is considered 1 day late.

Work submitted after Friday, March 28th but before:

• Monday at midnight - 10% deduction
• Tuesday at midnight - 20% deduction
• Wednesday at midnight - 30% deduction
• Thursday at midnight 40% deduction
• Friday at midnight - 50% deduction
• After Friday - Grade will be a 0.

## HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY SPRING BREAK!!!! APRIL 7TH -11TH

Students should stay on the GaVS schedule that they choose upon entering their course. Even if your local school breaks do not coincide with the GaVS break, students must meet the assignment due dates. Students should communicate their school breaks with their teacher as soon as possible and if necessary discuss with their instructor how to get ahead. I will be checking email a few times throughout the week so email me with questions. I will resume grading on Monday, April 7th.

## LET'S TALK ZEROS

Even a perfect “100” is not enough to bring a “0” up to passing.

100 = A

+ 0 = F

100 ÷ 2 = 50 = F

Even a poor something is better than nothing.

100 = A
+ 50 = F
150 ÷ 2 = 75 = C

It takes two perfect “100’s” to turn

one zero into a barely passing “D.” If one grade is a 94 it won’t be enough.

100 = A

100 = A
+ 0 = F
200 ÷ 3 = 66 = D

*please note that ranges for A,B,C,D, and F's vary by school system. This example is given to simply illustrate how badly zeros affect your grades.
