The Cheer Team competed in the heavily armed South Shore league comp, against the reigning 1st, 2nd & 3rd place teams in the state. Ending up placing 3rd in the SSL small, 6th in the league overall. The girls have been working 5 days a week towards this performance and did an amazing job, hitting all their stunts and pyramid. A huge accomplishment, with the team's highest score to date!

A Message from Mr. Cass
With November upon us, I usually do, No Shave November to raise awareness to Men’s health issues. I've been doing this the past 4 years and I have donated money to a Cancer research group. This year I thought it would be great to get our school involved to raise awareness not just to men's health issues but also to all Cancer’s, especially Pediatric as one of our students (Oliva Hart) is going through this right now. I am offering my hair as bounty, if we can raise $500. I am sure we will be able to get beyond that goal. Half of the money will go to help offset expenses that the family has to endure for traveling and the other half will go to the hospital Olivia is getting treatment from for Pediatric cancer research. If you would like to donate, there will be a container in the main office and if you would like to send in a check, you can make it out to Monomoy Regional School District for the Cancer fundraiser.
thank you!

Mr. Cass -
I am a retired Monomoy teacher who very much enjoyed last night's field hockey game from the comfort of my living room! I'm hoping it may happen again for Sunday's game - your camera man ( or woman) did an excellent job as did the announcer. My daughter played for four years, albeit 15 years ago, and I miss being able to watch the girls, many of whom I had as students.
Kudos to you all-
Anne Leete
Sending a Shark Shout Out to my 2 office mates: Mrs. Ferro for her dedication to helping our 2 student interns every E block. She makes their time here productive, yet fun, and is a wonderful teacher! And Ms. Hooper, who has the busiest mornings of all and still makes it through them with a smile!
Ms. Kelly
Shout out to Mr. Dickson for taking the time, effort, energy, and commitment to making learning come alive by taking MHRS students on a STAND visit to Washington, D.C. this weekend.

Library/Media Center News
There’s an App for that! There are two very important Apps that all Monomoy Sharks should know about. Noodle Tools is a suite of tools for note-taking, outlining, citation, and collaborative research and writing. The App is installed on the student Chromebooks. All of our 8th grade students will be visiting the library for training sessions in the upcoming weeks.
Mackin Via is an online platform where our students may access our eBooks and digital audiobooks. Students may use the link on the Library LibGuide to access Mackin Via. Chromebooks, tablets and smartphones also have an available App.
Ms. Wheaton has put together an instructions document to explain how to register for a MRHS student account in both Apps.
