Message from Ms. Barkley, Coordinator of Early Learning
Dear ELC Families,
On Tuesday, April 11th, we hosted a Kindergarten Transition Parent Night to provide our future kindergarten parents with the information and tools they need as they prepare themselves and their child for kindergarten. If you did not attend the event, a folder will be sent home with your child that includes all of the handouts that were provided. In addition, below you will find the presentation that was provided for your reference. There are several links embedded within the presentation for you to explore at your convenience.
Graduation pictures for our students who will be entering kindergarten next school year were taken on April 13th. Each student will receive a free 5x7 graduation photo and families will have the opportunity to order additional photos. In approximately two weeks, proofs of the photos taken of your child (there will be two poses) will be sent home with an order form and a link to complete an online order. You can either order additional prints online or you will need to complete the order form and return it to school with payment to receive additional prints.
Our spring Parent Teacher conferences will be held on April 27th and 28th from 8:20AM - 3:20PM. There will be no student attendance on these two days. Families will have the option to schedule an in-person or virtual conference with their child's classroom teacher. Click on the link below to schedule your conference time.

Role Model Students
Michaela
"Michaela has grown so much since the beginning of the year. She is very helpful in the classroom, she is polite, she shares with her peers, she has been working hard on her letter recognition skills, and she is self-advocating when she needs help. We are proud of you and your hard work, Michaela!"
- Mrs. DeShasier
Grayson
"Grayson saw a peer crying on the playground and he approached her with a ball and offered it to her. He was trying to cheer her up. The peer hit the ball out of Grayson's hands repeatedly and he ran and got the ball and offered it to her several times. It began to be a game between the two. I think he did make her feel better. Great job Grayson!"
-Mrs. Ginny
Arianna
"Arianna demonstrates compassion towards her peers that are hurt and upset. She exhibits enthusiasm for school and learning. Arianna engages peers in conversations about events in their lives (birthday parties, family trips). She is very engaged with activities throughout the day and enjoys sharing her work with others."
- Mrs. Weider
Easton
"Easton is a returning student that has shown growth this year in all areas. He is a great helper and enjoys being with his friends. He loves to build and create 3D art. Easton is a good leader and has helped other new friends this year. He uses his imagination to play in the house center and is our classroom expert on garbage trucks/recycling which is perfect for our current unit of study ."
-Mrs. Dempski
Finn
"Finn is patient and respectful during teaching times and with his peers. He is a good friend and helps others when he sees someone in need."
-Mrs. Hanrahan
Armoni
"Armoni has been working hard at remembering and following our school rules, and he's doing a great job! He is following directions, sharing with friends in the classroom, and helping friends when they ask. Recently, Armoni saw a friend was hurt at the playground and did a great job comforting them and letting a teacher know what happened. Way to go Armoni!"
