Giovanni da Verrazzano
An Italian Explorer
Bio:
I'm a single saucy sailor from Florence, Italy. I work for King Francis I of France. I've explored the North East of the Americas for four years looking for a short cut to the pacific. We left the port in Madeira, Spain with four ships. We lost a couple of them in a storm, but that didn't stop us. In the end, however, we didn't find the Northwest passage. I did find Manhattan though and got a bridge named after me though, the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge in New York. Also i'm later eaten alive by Natives from Guadalupe.
This is me on my ship, the Delfina.
Just kidding! this is my real ship.
That's my ship again, behind it are the lesser ships that followed behind.
