Council votes on Fire Station location
During the Aug. 24 Town Council meeting, the Council heard presentations analyzing and comparing three proposed fire station locations - Town Center Park, Town Hall, and Glazer.
Following the presentations and discussion, the Council named the Glazer property as the location for the new fire station with a 4-3 vote.
The station will be designed to complement the new horse barn that is currently in preliminary design. A citizen committee has been working with Town staff to select the facade and layout of the barn. Placement of the fire station at this same location will allow for some development cost savings (such as sewer installation).
