St. Jerome School Weekly Reminders
Week of February 1st, 2021
"Catholic education aims not only to communicate facts but also to transmit a coherent, comprehensive vision of life, in the conviction that the truths contained in that vision liberate students in the most profound meaning of human freedom."
-Pope St. John Paul II
Reminders for the Week:
*Click here for the St. Jerome Parish Sunday Bulletin
*The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has announced that the high schools and city elementary schools will be closed on Monday due to the predicted snowstorm. We will take this day as a flexible instruction day; our teachers will post any assignments to Google Classroom and also be available for a limited amount of time, on Google Meet (indicated on Classroom), if the students have any questions. The students only need to complete their assignments (they do not need to log in at a specific time). We want the students to enjoy the day off while still staying productive and ensuring that we do not need to take another scheduled day off away later in the school year (especially since we took the day in December as a traditional snow day).
*With having Monday off- we will still continue to celebrate Catholic Schools Week! We will reschedule any activities that we miss.
*Please remember to return your Continuous Enrollment Form by February 26th. If you have any new siblings enrolling at St. Jerome School, please add them to the continuous enrollment form. We will then send you any addition forms that need to be for new siblings.
*One of our Catholic Schools Week service projects, each homeroom is going to assemble 2 birthday boxes --- one for a boy and one for a girl age-appropriate to their grade. We will have 2 bakery boxes to put the items inside, and the outside will be decorated by the students. Please click here for more information and the sign up sheet (you can sign up for multiple items and grades if you would like). Items should be brought in on Monday.
