Holiday Spirit of Giving
I was always taught you're blessed to be a blessing. I want to humbly thank all of the WGE teachers, staff, families and community for their help in putting smiles on the WGE students faces. I had a vision that every child on the list would receive a gift and we made it happen. We were able to service 70 WGE students. Thanks to the parents/guardians who were willing to accept gifts. I hope through this project that the GENUINE love of WGE and the community was shown and felt. We want the world to know we are a LITTLE school with a BIG heart! This is our year to show the world we are the school "Where Greatness Exceeds Status Quo!"

Book It Program at Wallace Gregg Elementary
R.E.A.D.ing is AWESOME! This year so far our students have been making great progress with building stamina, fluency, comprehension, and completing R.E.A.D.ing logs. To reward our students' efforts, they have all been entered into the Book It program. The Book-It program allows students to receive a free personal pan pizzas for reaching their reading goals. This week letters will be sent out to students so that parents will be able to use a QR scanner to confirm permission for their students to participate in the program. In order to receive a Book-It pizza coupon, students will need to read 20 minutes daily ( during R.E.A.D), and correctly complete their R.E.A.D.ing logs correctly. Each Friday, their teacher will sign students’ R.E.A.D.ing logs. At the end of the month, the students will receive their Book-It coupon for a free personal pan pizza. Their teacher’s signature will indicate that students have read for 20 minutes daily and correctly completed their R.E.A.D.ing logs. Please encourage your student to R.E.A.D. We look forward to rewarding their efforts!
Sincerely
Mrs. Pressley, Literacy Coach
