Celebrating "EGGS-CELLENT" Behavior

This Week's "PAWS" For A Great Book Moment!

Kindergarteners, Ferra Andrew, Everitt Clark, and Abby Atkinson, are excited to recommend Bear Wants More by Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman for this week's "PAWS" for a great book. After a long winter, Bear wakes up in the springtime very hungry. His friends try to help by giving him lots of different foods to choose from, but he still wants more. Ferra, Everitt, and Abby like this book because it is funny, and the bear never stops eating! If you would like to read this book, check it out in the library.

M-STEP Testing

In a couple of weeks, our 3rd and 4th-grade students will be taking the state assessment called the Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress (M-STEP). As the spring testing window approaches, the teachers here at K.C. Ling Elementary have been working hard to help prepare the students for the M-STEP by taking time to work on the state-released practice items and to increase their comfort level with the technology-enhanced features of the test. The vast majority of our students will be taking the tests online. 3rd and 4th-grade students will be administered tests in ELA and Math. Informational parent letters, with specific testing dates/times, were sent home with each 3rd and 4th-grade students today. If you have any questions regarding M-STEP testing, please feel free to contact me at 989-642-5235.
