Marketing Your School Library

Marketing a school library is a big challenge. This, value for money, course is for anyone who wants to learn more, expand their experience and receive tips on how to raise their library's profile.



The course will include:

- Exploring the principles behind successful communication, and effective marketing of a School Library and Information service.

- An examination of and hands-on time with useful online tools to deliver messages directly to both internal and external stakeholders.

- Topics covered will include presenting ideas, using social media (with and without limitations), influencing the influencers, and making a marketing plan.


The course will be run by Ned Potter, librarian and author of the successful book The Library Marketing Tool Kit

Ned’s training is designed to give people ideas they can use right away, the minute they get back to their desk. Participants will leave understanding the different types of communication, empowered to make realistic but productive changes to their marketing, and with the new ideas for engaging children, parents and other school staff.
