Stellar Bulletin Dec 20th-24th

Electives

Elective results have been published and sent to TOR's and families. If you haven't heard the elective results for your students, please reach out to your TOR. Some classes had an amazing amount of interest and filled quickly - we are sorry if your child is disappointed. We do prioritize students who have not had a chance to attend, so hopefully next time will be their opportunity! Thank you for your support and continued interest. Remember if you have a special skill or talent that you would like to share, reach out to the office and let us know. Our space is limited, but we are always trying to design electives that are fun, educational, and interesting!

Hawaiian Beach Party Musical Play

There is extra room in the spring musical! We are opening up the elective class to ANYONE who would be interested in participating. If your student participates they will be in rehearsal on Tuesday and Thursday from 1:15 to 3. This year the musical is set in Hawaii. The plot is a summer school in Hawaii. The students in the summer school are learning about Hawaiian culture and they decide to put on a Hawaiian beach party. If your child likes to sing, dance or act...this is the elective for them! They will have a lot of fun learning about Hawiian culture through music and dancing! Come join in the fun!

Sign up by emailing Nicky in the office at nwerner@rsdnmp.org.

Rehearsals start when we return form winter break on December 11th.

Student Spotlight

Congratulations to Julien Urena for passing to the next level in Lexia. Well done Julien!

Lexia

The following students are superstars and have passed a level in Lexia: Talleah-Nicole Reyes; Amelia Black; Elizabeth Romo; Benjamin Scott; Daniel Werner; Kolbey Wygal; and Sophia Klima! Keep up the great reading; we are proud of your hard work!

Motion Art

We learned about Niagara Falls in art class. Students painted their waterfall with watercolor. After painting in watercolor, they learned how to use the dry brush technique with white tempera to add dimension and texture. Then we used the app "Pixamotion" to learn how to animate still images. They could add motion, add overlays and audio to their image. Check out the amazing examples below.

Yearbook

Redding Performing Arts Center

We've had a wonderful semester at Redding Performing Arts Center with your students! Our high school Performance Theatre students performed Almost, Maine, our Children’s Theatre students performed How I Became a Pirate, and our Youth Theatre Class presented Jingle Jury last week. Private lesson students and our music ensembles have performed in monthly recitals and Christmas concerts. It's been an exciting time at RPAC!

Coming up next semester, we're presenting The Rainbow Fish with the Children’s Theatre, Dr. Doolittle with our Youth Theatre students, and Hello, Dolly with our High School Performance Theatre class. Our private lessons, music, and dance programs continue to grow, and we'd love to have your students jump in on the Spring Semester fun. We will also be adding some new classes including visual art. Please find our Spring 2022 brochure attached, as well as a flyer with our upcoming production announcements. Feel free to pass along this brochure to families who might be interested in joining us!

We look forward to our continued partnership with you, your families, and your students!

Best,

Brandon Baumann and Brenna Yeary
