A few reminders so you can stay in the know:
~ Testing Kits: IF you have signed your child up to bring home a testing kit each Monday, please remind your child to come to the office on Mondays to pick this up. We cannot distribute them to students; students have to come to the office to get it (or parents can come in and get it). Students should return the completed test before noon on Tuesday. If you are testing because your child is exhibiting symptoms, you need to share those test results with the health office. You can email those test results to Rosy McGregor at email@example.com.
~ COVID Testing: We are REQUIRED to get the test results of students that test because they have symptoms. When you receive test results, you need to share those test results with the health office. You can email those test results to Rosy McGregor at firstname.lastname@example.org.
~ Fall Festival: Mark your calendar for our Fall Festival/Carnival. This is an event that we typically do in the spring, but since we have been unable to do this the last two years, we are planning on hosting a Fall Festival/Carnival on Thursday, October 14 from 3:30 - 6:30 PM. We need volunteers to help make this happen!!!! Please email Kelsey Bellig at email@example.com if you are able to help with this amazing event!!! Please know that older siblings, grandparents, friends can help with this, too, so please consider that as we need many, many volunteers (45-minutes shifts). Should weather keep us from holding this fun festival, we will postpone it until the spring.
~ Walk-A-Thon: The Roosevelt PTO plans to do our annual Walk-A-Thon fundraiser on Friday, October 15. This event kicked-off last Friday, so hopefully you are gathering donations from family and friends! The is the PTO's ONE & ONLY fundraiser, and it's a simple, awesome event!!! Thank you, in advance, for your support! AND...if you turn your money in at the carnival...your child will get some FREE tickets!!!!
~ School Pictures: These are currently scheduled for during the school day on Friday, October 8. Here's the online link to order pictures. The school code is: FM370866. Paper copies will also be available in the office should you need/want that. Please have your child come to the office to get a paper copy if you prefer ordering that way.
~ Upcoming Events: NO SCHOOL for students on Monday, October 11. The October PTO meeting will be Tuesday, October 12 at 5:30 in the Media Center. And NO SCHOOL on October 21 & 22 due to MEA.
