MacArthur 4K News
October 12, 2015
Last Week:
- We sorted small pony beads by color for fine motor practice. Stringing and sorting beads are great for muscle development for writing.
- We painted pictures at the easel.
- We retold the story of the Three Little Pigs, colored a book to read at home (and return) and watched a short movie of the Three Little Pigs.
- We had an obstacle course in the gym on Thursday.
- The conference note came home to sign up for conferences. Please return it ASAP if you haven't already. If your 4K child is your only child at MacArthur School, please email me if you are able to do a conference the morning of November 20th, instead of the 17th or 19th. I will be available from 7:45-11:30 that day.
This Week in 4K:
- Library Story Time - Monday
- We will be learning about Fire Safety this week. We will practice stop, drop, and roll. Please talk with your child about what to do if there is a fire in your house, practice a drill, and plan a meeting place outside.
- We will be having a visit from Mr. Stemer (Molly's Dad) on Wednesday. He is a firefighter and will be talking with the kids in both classes about fire safety and will be putting on all his gear to show the students what a firefighter looks like and what all the gear is for.
- Your child will be bringing a book home from our lending library for someone to read. You can keep the book until Thursday.
