Principal Allen's Weekly Newsletter
October 26 - October 30
Dear Spicewood Parents and Community Members,
Without a doubt, we have the most amazing parents and community! I am completely blown away by the acts of kindness and generosity we have received just this week alone!
Earlier this week, Pastor Robinson from Hope Presbyterian reached out to let us know that their doors are open to us if we ever need additional space for our teachers to meet! On Wednesday, the Spicewood PTA provided a delicious lunch from Chi'Lantro for all faculty and staff. Yesterday the refrigerator in our teacher's lounge gave out and within seconds of Ms. Cruz mentioning on Facebook and Twitter, parents began reaching out to offer assistance! We were thrilled to learn that Mrs. Kling, arranged to have an appliance technician come to our campus and repair the refrigerator!
On behalf of my campus, I extend a very generous Thank you!
As we continue to navigate this school year, I would love to hear from you. Parents are invited to give a shout-out to a teacher or department, let us know about something we are doing well, or communicate something that you would like to see improved by using the Spicewood Elementary Parent Feedback form. This form will be included at the end of my newsletter each week so that you always have an opportunity to provide feedback!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Mrs. Allen

Choice Workshop Round 2
Spicewood Elementary is hosting a weekly Choice Workshop for students on Fridays. Each Friday during your child’s designated special’s time (both in person and virtual), students will choose one option from the Choice Workshop choice board in their Friday Schoology folder. This workshop will be a 30 minute long recorded video, and gives students the opportunity to dive into their current interests and discover new talents they may have! A new round of workshops will be offered every 3 weeks. Below are the Choice Workshop options and materials your child will need to participate. Please share these options with your child, and collect the materials needed. If your child is an in-person learner, please send the needed materials with your child on Friday morning. If you have any questions, please contact Jessica Oates and Alexandra Peoples.
