Only THREE More Farm Stands This Year: Can You Volunteer?
Thanks again to everyone who helped last week and those of you who have asked to help this week! It's going to be a lot of fun.
Here's a link to the VolunteerSpot sign-up:
Note: VolunteerSpot does not share your email address with anyone. If you prefer not to use your email address, please contact me and I can sign you up manually.
We learned a little more about what we need to make this work last week so the slots are below and there's more detailed info in the description on VolunteerSpot. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
Also, if anyone has any baskets you don't want that we could put veggies in for the stand send them our way!
Happy Spring!
Anna

Thank you to our Laundry Helpers this year! We will have a laundry service next year!
Thanks to all of you for helping with laundry this school year! We are very appreciative for your help with washing all of our towels and rags. We use very few paper towels now and we're saving trees! Whoo hoo!
Good news! We are going to use a laundry service beginning next year since we will have more kids and more laundry. We got a quote from a laundry pick up service and will be moving forward with it in September. Thank you for helping us get started with reusable cleaning materials this year!
SNACK INFO: Only 1 more snack volunteer needed this year, snack service coming next year, and thank you to all of our snack helpers!
Only 1 more day of snack help needed!
There is only 1 more day of help needed for snack. If you have some time to help out on Thursday, June 25th, please sign up using the link below. Thanks!
Snack service for next year!
Next year we will use a food vendor (most likely Red Rabbit) for our snack service and the snacks will be prepared at the Red Rabbit facility and brought to Compass ready to serve each day. Red Rabbit is a nut free facility and they are also able to make special snacks for our children with food allergies. Using a food vendor will help to reduce the amount of time and energy needed from our families and staff.
Thank you to our snack volunteers!
Thanks so much to all of our snack volunteers! We know it's been a huge commitment for many of you to come in and help out in the middle of the day. We are so grateful for all of your help with chopping, peeling, plating, delivering, and washing! You have helped to ensure our children had a healthy and filling snack each day to keep them going throughout the school day.
Also, a very special thank you to Leigh Kader (Pine Parent) for being our Snack Organizer this year. She took the lead on ordering snack from Fresh Direct each week, organizing snack volunteers, and even popping in on days with no snack helpers.
Snack and Lunch Dues
With the end of the school year approaching, Todd will be in touch with families about any snack and lunch dues that are still owed. If you already know how much you owe, please feel free to send payment to the Main Office (via Cash, Check, Money Order, Chase Quick Pay & Square Cash).
Square Cash is similar to Paypal, only free and easier to use. It is called Square Cash (click on the left side of the webpage for a short video on how it works and enter your cell phone on the right to get a text giving you $1 and a link to get started). After you get the text, all you need to do is enter your debit card information, download the app and type your email address. You are now ready to make and receive payments. To send Compass money, press "Send", select an amount and send the money to Todd's email address. "Cash" also allows you to receive money from others as well. It is an easy way for you to pay for Compass t-shirts or for a friend to pay you back some money they owe you.
Did you complete the After School Application for 2015-2016?
Please complete the After School Application for 2015-2016 so we can get an accurate number for enrollment for next year. We are excited to have Kids Orbit as an option for your children. We know that The Y offered a discounted price this year and would have cost at least $72 a week this fall.
Here's the link to the application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1WrEJppEMT52HcpvRYL8ks8oS-YRHZMlW39TEetR6ESc/viewform
Please feel free to contact Todd if you have any questions. Many thanks to all members of the Committee for their efforts.
