We Need Your Help
#HSEFunselfie Giving Tuesday
Hello again from HSEF!
We appreciate your support of HSEF this holiday season through the promotion of our annual #HSEFunselfie Giving Tuesday campaign. What started with the simple idea of giving to others around Cyber Monday and Black Friday, has become a celebration of HSE Schools, faculty, students, and parents.
Attached is your school’s updated 2021 letter with selfie sign. We appreciate your help with distribution of the 2021 letter and sign, with links below, in your parent
newsletters later this month as well asking your staff to consider joining the HSE Schools payroll donation program in lieu of a one-time donation on Giving Tuesday.
Additionally, we will also have hard copies for your staff delivered to your school via the Pony early next week.
HSEF believes that Giving Tuesday is a great opportunity to show our teachers and our schools just how much they matter – and its easy! On November 30th HSEF is continuing the annual tradition of taking a #HSEFunselfie when donating to the Foundation on Giving Tuesday. This is a great opportunity to show our teachers and our schools just how much they matter in just 3 easy steps:
- Step 1: Make a donation @ www.HSEFoundation.org/Events/Giving-Tuesday.
- Step 2: Take a selfie picture or video proclaiming why you gave using the Unselfie Sign. Tag #HSEFunselfie, your school, and @HSEFoundation on
Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or Instagram.
- Step 3: Feel great this holiday season! Because of you, faculty and staff at all 22 HSE Schools are feeling the love, and you helped support education opportunities and innovation within HSE Schools.
Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you for your continued support of HSEF and for all that you do!

Snack Attack
Fishers Youth Assistance Program is pleased to offer Snack Attack again this school year and continue to support students in HSE Schools. For those unfamiliar, Snack Attack is a simple program designed to help students needing a little extra nourishment to get them through the weekend until they can receive a hot meal at school on Monday. There is no cost to the family or to the school, families just need to opt into the service. All students in need are welcome to participate.
Snack Attack bags are unmarked brown bags filled with ten snacks for junior high students that are picked up in the Guidance Office each Friday. Snacks are individually wrapped snacks such as granola bars, fruit cups, pop tarts, or peanut butter/crackers, Goldfish crackers, etc. The type of snacks will vary each week. If a child has a peanut allergy, he/she will receive a special white bag of peanut-free snacks.
If you would like to opt into this program, please email Mrs. Broughton (kbroughton@hse.k12.in.us) with your student(s) name and grade. Please also include if there is a peanut allergy.
If you would like to donate to the Fishers Youth Assistance Snack Attack program, donations may be dropped off at the front office or by sending in with your student. Monetary donations to Fishers Youth Assistance may be made by clicking on the link below:
Virtual Option Second Semester
Hamilton Southeastern Schools has a partnered with Indiana Online Academy (IOA) to offer a virtual option for students in grades 7-12 who cannot be in an in-person learning environment. Students who attend virtually are instructed via live, scheduled Zoom calls with IOA staff for core classes and work asynchronously in non-core/elective courses. Students are not permitted to participate in any in-person school club, team, or event if enrolled in IOA but may participate virtually if a virtual option exists. Students are still required to come in-person to their home school to participate in state standardized testing (ILEARN, WIDA, SAT, ISTEP, etc.). We are opening registration for students who are currently in-person and wishing to switch to virtual for second semester (beginning in January). If you would like to sign your student up, please complete the brief registration form. Registration will close on Tuesday, November 23rd. Registration link: https://forms.office.com/r/g0T81cXdbE
Wellness Classes
After Thanksgiving break, Wellness classes will begin the Healthy Relationships and Human Development Unit. Please be sure you have completed the Human Sexuality Consent form in Skyward Family Access. Incomplete forms will be treated as Do Not Consent. The Human Sexuality Consent form may be found in the Back-to-School Forms in Skyward, Item #10.
