Principal's Prose
Greetings Team,
I hope that you all had a great weekend filled with smiles, rest and meaningful reflection. As we have started our journey into the new semester it has been an eventful one already. With carefully crafted action plans and PLCs in full swing, mastery minded assessments and meticulous progress monitoring all on our instructional menu, we are intentionally positioning Sudie students in the direction of success! Though our game plan is solid, our commitment and execution will be the key factor in our wins, or woes. In connection with our nations new most popular and consuming pastime, football, it's all about what happens NOW, right after the halfway mark (halftime) which will determine where we land when the game clock reads 0:00.
To be brief and not too indulgent as the huge sports fanatic I am, one recent game comes to mind when thinking of how important the half -way mark is to an overall outcome. Last year, the sports world sat in shock as the 4 time champion New England Patriots trailed the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 28 to 3 in the Super Bowl. With so much in the line, the coaches and players had to dig deep in order to believe they even had a chance to win. Well, as we now know, that belief, execution and teamwork contributed in the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history, as they rallied from 25 points down to win and once again claim the title as champions. I still can't believe what the sports world witnessed that day, and I'm sure the Falcons and their fans can't believe it either!
In short, it's not where we start, but how we finish which will have the final say. At Sudie, we have every capability win in the end, no matter where we are currently positioned on the spectrum of success. It only requires a full commitment, teamwork, execution and the unwavering belief in ourselves and each other. We too can rise to the top, and own the distinction as the best Sudie we can be!
The title is ours to claim Lions! Keep believing, dig deep and make it a great week!
Still Go Cowboys,
MJ
