Board Recognizes Faculty, Students and Programs
The Cullman City Board of Education meeting had a full agenda this week as many students, faculty and programs were recognized. It is always a pleasure for the Board to acknowledge the hard work of individuals in our system!
PowerSchool Training
Many CCS employees spent time this week in PowerSchool training. PowerSchool has been adopted by the Alabama State Department of Education as the new provider for the Student Information System and teacher grade book program.
Sharing the Love
The "Show CCPS Love" campaign was a huge success. Thanks to the CCPS PTO for their hard work.
Manuscript, Cursive and Type: They Do It All
CCS students learn all of the methods for recording the written word! They learn to produce manuscript, cursive and typed responses throughout their courses. These EES 5th graders are shown practicing keyboarding skills.
Genuine Learning STEMs From Authentic Experiences
STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications. CCS students have many STEM opportunities. These WES students are totally engaged in their most recent activity.
CHS Lady Bearcat Soccer Starting Strong
The Lady Bearcats are looking forward to a great season. They have started strong with three wins at the Southern Shootout tournament in Foley and regular season wins over Jasper, Buckhorn, Ft. Payne and Northridge. Go Bearcats!
Making Beautiful Music
Thursday night's CMS Piano Recital was filled with beautiful sounds created by CCS students. We thank WSCC for the use of their facility and the remarkable Steinway piano.
