Henking Family Newsletter
July 2021
Welcome to the New School Year!
Dear Henking families,
Welcome to the new school year! We appreciate the opportunity to partner with you on behalf of your child’s educational experience. We take great pride in creating a welcoming environment for all of our students, their families, and community members. Your child’s success is our success.
At Henking, we are dedicated to our district vision, to be an inclusive, equitable school system that provides comprehensive, authentic learning experiences to develop the whole child. We strive to meet our vision by supporting your child’s specific needs in a safe and happy environment. We understand that all students are unique and have implemented a strong Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for the academic and social-emotional growth of each child.
We know that this school year will not be a typical year and we are well-prepared to support the transition to school. To this end, we have worked diligently to ensure a smooth start to the school year. Please take note that in this newsletter we are providing you with information about some of the activities that we hope will support your child’s transition to school, such as the PTA-sponsored playdates in the park! Also, be on the lookout for our August newsletter for information on our upcoming Meet and Greets and more!
If you have visited the Henking area, you have most likely noticed the construction. The progress that has been made since June is truly amazing! This exciting enhancement to our building will continue throughout the school year and we will continue to be flexible as we adapt to the varying situations that result from it. Although throughout the year certain outdoor areas may be inaccessible, we plan on maintaining a typical schedule that includes outdoor time for our students to recharge! For more information on this project, please visit us at Building Future.
We look forward to meeting and getting to know you and your child and welcoming back returning families.
Best,
Patty Puetz
