Math- We will be continuing on in topic 3 which covers using place value to add and subtract two or more 3-digit numbers. Our topic 3 test will be at the end of the week either Thursday or Friday depending on how much progress we make at the beginning of the week.

Spelling- This weeks spelling pattern is long i. The list in below.

Writing- We will continue working on narrative writing focusing on the trait of ideas as well as comparing/contrasting two things/characters and being able to produce two paragraphs discussing the similarities and differences.

Science- We will begin our unit on insects! Your child should have a note that was sent home with them (Friday, September 16) that discusses collecting bugs at home for our unit. Please read this over with your child. Bug collections are due Oct. 12th. Do not wait till the last minute because the weather is quickly changing and many insects will die off.
