Bear Tracks
Summer Edition - August 19, 2016
A Note From the Principal:
I hope that you are having a great second half of August. Relax and enjoy every second; we'll be back in business before you know it! The placement information is out, welcome letters have been distributed and the Open House/Orientations are next week.
I'm getting very excited because without exception, each person that I have seen and talked to in the last week, setting up rooms, etc., has done something to learn and grow over the summer. From reading books to Twitter Chats to Facebook Groups, there are so many new ideas and great things getting set up for this year. While I work hard in the summer (and believe me; I do love summertime), it's just not the same as the school year. I really do miss seeing the entire staff each day. You continue to motive and energize me, and I look forward to catching up and stealing some of your enthusiasm in the weeks to come.
Reach out if you need anything.
Happy Friday!
Sincerely,
Chris
Information & Dates:
- FREE STUFF - I'd like to thank Shannon, Dolores, Lori and Kelly for going through the remnants of the storage room in 208! They have identified a table worth of items that are "up for grabs." These items are free to a good home and are in good condition, but will not be returning to storage in room 208. The table in the rear of the stage will go back into storage, but the one in front of that one, labeled 'up for grabs,' is the table in question. First come first served...
- ACBs - Last call, please reach out to Lauren ASAP if you are interested in hosting ACB student with Dr. Prince from TCNJ
- Open House - On August 25th, we'll have our Open House, K Orientation and New Student Orientation.
- Chalk - Last year, I used sidewalk chalk to write some messages for students for the first day. I want to extend an invitation for any and all interested staff to join in this year. Save the date - September 6th. Time TBA (not too late, so we can all get some sleep!).
