Howard Shore

History
Howard Shore, a Canadian composer, was born on October 18, 1946. His love for music started at the young age of 8 or 9. When he was 14, he joined at band and learned to play many instruments. At the age of 17, Shore decided to pursue a life of music at Berklee College of Music. In college, he became part of a band called Lighthouse. In 1970, Shore became music director for the TV show The Hart & Lorne Terrific Hour and Saturday Night Live. He later became the music director of the movie called I Miss You, Hugs And Kisses and many more movies. After Shore became more popular, he composed for the popular movie Silence Of The Lambs in 1991. Throughout Shore's career, he has had the honor of being the only living composer to have scored a "Top Five" Oscar winning film. He has also won many Golden Globe and Oscar awards.

The event that propelled Shore into fame was in 2001 when he composed for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring which was very popular.

Shore's soundtrack were not upbeat and happy all the time. The soundtracks he made was more suspenseful and scary to listen to. This was because of the type of story-line of his movies that he helped produce.
Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring
A young Hobbit named Frodo Baggins inherits a ring which will determine the fate of civilization. In order for Frodo to save his people he has to destroy the one Ring in the fires of Mount Doom where it was forged. Throughout his journey he came to a lot of conflicts but is helped by many heroes and friends.
