A Note From Mrs. Looman

  • Field Day will be held on Wednesday, June 7th with a rain date of the 14th. Please be sure to send your children in with sneakers, a change of clothes, and a water bottle. We are looking forward to a day of fun outside.

  • As we wind down the school year, please encourage your child to check the Lost & Found, return their library books, and clean out their lockers.

  • Throughout the month of June, there are several class specific events happening. Please be sure to keep up to date on information from your child's teacher.

  • Next Tuesday, June 6th will be Dr. Autumn's last day with us. We are so grateful to have had her with us this year and wish her all the best!

  • Next Friday is 6th grade Step Up Day at MTRS. All 6th graders who are at school will be attending. If you plan on your child NOT attending, please contact Ms. Ickes immediately so that she can give an accurate head count for lunch and groupings.

An opportunity

GCC is excited to share that they're officially launching our Para Educator Training Program this summer, starting on July 10th!

This will be a free training program for adult job seekers who are interested in working as paraprofessionals in our region. This fully in-person 6-week program consists of 120 contact hours and prepares students to take the Para Pro certification exam, as well as awards a Certificate of Completion from GCC. With an August 17th end date, program graduates will be ready to start working in the field in time for the 2023-24 school year.

Anyone interested in learning more should contact Alexandra Carley, or fill out this intake form to schedule an interview:
