Book: We will begin reading Lord of the Flies next week. We have copies of the book at school that students can check out, however, if your student would like their own personal copy, you shouls buy it this week. This book can be found on Amazon and will most likely be available at Half Price Books or Roma's Books in Rockwall.

Tutoring This Week
This Week's Tutoring Times for Mrs. Pogue
Tuesday: 4 - 6 pm in the Library for Tuesday Night Live. Bus transportation is provided and assistance is available in all core classes.
Thursday: 3:40 - 4:30 pm in my classroom
Friday: 8 am in my classroom
Important: Students with current missing work must take care of make-ups and redos no later than Friday, October 21 to avoid zeros in the grade book. This applies to Unit 1 Test Corrections as well.

For those students taking the PSAT on October 19th, RCHS is hosting a PSAT study session this Tuesday, 10/18, from 4-6 in the library. Your student can also practice online at Khan Academy

It is vital that your student continues to read so they can increase their vocabulary and reading stamina. Please encourage them to read regularly.

October 25: Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat - School organizations will be trick or treating for can goods to help feed the homeless
October 31: No school for Students; Parent Conference Day for Teachers
