Roald Dahl was very adventurous as a kid. He would get into trouble like all kids do. He was never afraid to be different and he would do what Roald wanted to do. He joined the royal air force.Then at the age of 26 he moved to washington and started to write and write. Roald had so many adventures he wrote them down in a book and he found how much he loved writing, not just about him but about things in general.

Roald Dahl was the main character in the book. He had some crazy adventures as a kid but if he did not have those crazy adventures i don't think he would have been the writer he is known as today. He was born in Wales where he would walk to school every day and he and his friends would always stop at this candy shop called the sweet shop and get bootlaces or lemon drops or even old fashioned humbugs. Roald's favorite were the bootlaces until his friend thwaites said his dad who was a doctors said that those come from rats tails. He never had those ever again.
