edCampFoothills: An edCamp Close to Home!
edCampFoothills is being organized by a 5-county team from Alexander, Burke, Catawba, Lincoln and McDowell counties to bring the edCamp experience close by to educators in the foothills of North Carolina.
What is an Edcamp?
Edcamp is an "unconference". Which means that it is a professional development conference but it is not organized the way typical conferences are organized. Edcamps are designed specifically to give educators an opportunity to choose the professional development that they need that day, right then and there. Unlike traditional conferences which have session schedules set months in advance, the Edcamp agenda is created by the participants the morning of the event. YOU will create the conference that YOU attend. How cool is that?
If you've never been to an Edcamp, this is your chance to attend one that is really close to home. Bring a friend and spend your Saturday morning with us. Register Here
