Novel Summary
Of Mice and Men is about these two people named George and Lennie who have a dream to own their own ranch. They were dropped off by a bus miles away from the California farm they used to work at. Soon later after adventuring the two friends find themselves a ranch and hope for a place to stay and work. George talks to the owner that is named Slim and George convinces him to give him and Lennie a job at the ranch. Once George and Lennie have earned enough money they will leave the ranch secretly and go out to have their dream of owning their own ranch, but soon find themselves dealing with a bunch of challenges and confusion with the people at the ranch.

George
Throughout the story George changes from his conversations with slim, and how he admitted of abusing Lennie for his amusement. Throughout the story George losses his belief in his safe haven and shoots Lennie, but also sparing him the merciless death by Curley.
Slim
Throughout the story Slim is a very respected man and is so respected even Curley listings to him. Slim is the only person who understands Georges trouble with Lennie and is also the only one who tells George that he did the right thing for killing Lennie mercifully.
Crooks
Since Crooks is African American the people at the ranch are not very friendly with him, but throughout the story he starts to open up with other people when he allowed Lennie to sit with him. He always wants a sense of belonging, but he will soon get it because he could be with Lennie and George with their dream of owning the ranch.
