St. Mary School Parents are the Best!!!
I want to thank all of our parents for always doing their very best for their children, this school and all who call St. Mary School their family. Last week, we had parents call and share with us that they were keeping their kiddos home because they had a cough or sniffles. They were pretty sure that it was their child's allergies but they were keeping them home just to make sure.
I know these days are difficult with everything that we encounter in this crazy world, but the conversations that I had last week with parents are the reasons why we continue to keep a safe and healthy environment at school. Your willingness to follow protocols and procedures as well as do what you feel is in the best interest of all children and staff at St. Mary School is why we are a family at SMS.
Thank you for everything you are doing at home and we will keep doing our best at school each and every day for your children. Together, with our Lord and Savior, we can accomplish great things!

Kids of The Cross
(Youth Group for 1st-8th Grade)
Friday, September 10, we kick off Kids of the Cross staring at 3:45 pm. Student getting out at 2:20 pm are welcome to hangout. We will do a little brainstorming and planning for the year to come. During the meeting we will take a tour of our Food Pantry and learn about St. Vincent de Paul. The kids earned a pizza party from last year so come hungry.
Illness Policy
We still need all parents to screen their child(ren) before they get on the bus or leave for school. Please ensure that your child(ren) do not have a temperature or have any signs of illness, Flu or COVID-19. We are no longer taking temperatures at the door so we need all parents to ensure your children have no symptoms before leaving home.
If your child is home or sent home due to an illness, they must stay home until they are symptom/fever free for 24 hours before returning to school. Any child home due to COVID-19 must follow the Barry/Eaton County Health Departments guidance before returning to school.
Everyone was so wonderful at this last year, it really saved us from having groups of children contracting any illness almost the entire year last year. Thank you for continuing this much needed protocol.
