Common Places
The many places on the Internet I visit are mainly educational. This includes D2L, Gmail, Wikipedia, online dictionaries, and several presentation tools (SMORE, Piktochart, Prezi, etc.)
D2L Logo
A site where assignments can be given and handed in on. The teacher and student can access this anywhere, only if there is Wifi!
Wikipedia Logo
A site where fairly high level descriptions of several places, times, people, etc. Keep in mind, may not be as trustworthy compared to other sites.
Gmail
A great online communication tool and also a good place to work on a document, slide, picture, etc. with your peers.
The Journey
Early Years
During my early years, doctors would be taking notes and tests on me, even before I was born! This is where it all began, in the hospital. My family would have taken a whole bunch of pictures the day I came home. This can be sent to relatives and friends.
The middle of my life (4-8 years of age)
Several pictures would have been put on the computer, also school pictures. My school file would open and a numerous amount of information would go in. This includes my age, birthday, gender, contact numbers (emergency purposes), etc. Also, in my medical reports, it would say I got glasses. Finally I would have opened my first online game account, Club Penguin. I did this with the help of my mom, as I did not know too much about Internet safety back then.
My first school
a complete private school (ironic how the name has public in it) from preschool to grade 12.
my first online game
An interactive all-world game where you load into different servers to see different people on the game. Has many games to play and occasionally has a feature for a certain event, holiday
my first pair of glasses
I was 5 years old and excited to wear them! My parents were not too happy I had got bad eyes, but I did not know it then.
Little from the past... to now (9-12 years)
I received several doctor's reports that were put in my online file. When I was About ten years old, I started to collect limited edition coins from the Royal Canadian Mint. I made a few online orders with my fathers help to buy the coins. Also, I opened several accounts in grade 7, mainly for different presentation tools (Smore, Piktochart, Powtoon, etc.) . These were all opened using my school e-mail, which is another communication tool I started using in middle school.
Smore
A flyer/poster making web tool that I started to use in grade 7. You can put pictures, videos, text, and a whole lot more.
Powtoon
A cartoon presentation system that can be used to create animated presentations. Several effects, to both words and pictures can be used to jazz up the presentation.
Royal Canadian Mint
The Royal Canadian Mint is a government section that deals with making the money, both notes and coins. The website shows an array of different coins that are limited edition, which I love to buy online. The price can range from twenty dollars to several thousand dollars. The coins can be made up of several different materials(gold, silver, platinum, etc.). Also, the coins can have several special effects, such as a hologram, glow in the dark, or even accents made from several valuable materials (crystal, diamond, ebony, etc.).
This is just the beginning!!
If this is how big my dossier is in twelve years, it would be impossible to think how big it would be in fifty or more years!
