Science Fair Information
The Gwinnett County Science Fair will be held on February 24, 2023. This year, Patrick is opening the science fair to our 4th and 5th grade students. Students are allowed to work in groups of up to three people. Mrs. Calvert has allotted time for students to work on their science fair projects in STEM class. Patrick will be holding a local school fair in late January; this date will be finalized soon.
Students who want to participate in the science fair will be given a packet in STEM to complete their projects. This packet is also linked below. Students need to have their projects approved by December 9th and should let Mrs. Calvert know about their topics.
Mrs. Calvert will be hosting help sessions Tuesday, December 6th, Tuesday, December 13th, and Tuesday, December 20th at 7:15 A.M. in the STEM classroom. Please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Calvert with any questions or concerns. You can also visit the Gwinnett Science, Engineering, and Innovation Fair website for more information.
Patrick is Collecting for the CHOA Toy Drive
We will be having a Toy Drive starting the Monday after Thanksgiving. The toys will be sent directly to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for the kids that have to spend Christmas in the hospital. Below is a wish list of approved toys. If you would like to donate, all toys should be new and unwrapped. The deadline to bring in your gift will be the Friday, December 16th.
Watch the CHOA therapy dogs help Santa deliver presents below and see how much your gifts can help this season.
