From Clanfield to Woolacombe

Help us to raise £7500 for the redevelopment of our school playground

When asked by Clanfield’s Eco-School council Mr Smith, our Headteacher, said that he would run from school to somewhere ‘far, far away’ to raise money for new playground equipment. Mr Wightman our Chair of Governors, is always up for a challenge, took pity on Mr Smith and agreed to accompany him on the journey. Therefore they plan to run from Clanfield, Oxfordshire to Woolacombe, North Devon over the May Bank Holiday weekend, covering approximately 1 marathon each day over six days. They are aiming to raise £7,500 to re-develop the outside play area of the school playground and install some much need outdoor equipment, such as a climbing wall, jungle trail and an outdoor classroom.

The school is situated in the centre of the picturesque Cotswold village of Clanfield, West Oxfordshire, close to the borders of Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Our achievements are centred on our global citizenship objectives, ethos and Christian values of Respect, Friendship and Honesty.
