How to Make a Good First Impression
Make the most of the first six seconds
Most people assume that within the first couple minutes is when the first impression is made but in fact a good... or bad first impression is made in only seconds, six to be exact. Even if they haven't heard you speak an impression is made. The first things people see when they look at someone is their hair, posture and the way they dress. When you work make sure your hair is neat and clean, your clothes are unwrinkled and clean and your standing up straight and not slouching.
Start with the right attitude
Having a good attitude can get you anywhere especially when your pairing it with your career. No one likes people with a bad attitude they are difficult to work with and even harder to deal with on a personal level. we are not asking employees to be chipper and overly enthusiastic all the time but to try to be happy even if your having a bad day.
Greet customers promptly
Always do your best to get to your customers within the first five minutes of them being their. Especially if you're in the competitive restaurant business they can always find somewhere else to go.
Maintain good eye contact
Always maintain eye contact with a customer or client it is very rude to be having a conversation with someone when they aren't looking you in the eye. It is an important life skill that is not only helpful in the business world but also in your everyday life.
