SBS Weekly Update
June 14th, 2020
Principal's Notes
Although this school year will forever be remembered as challenging, I implore you to remember it also as a time that we exhibited our greatest strengths! The entire school community worked together to remain focused on learning. Although education was from a distance over the past three months, we remained together driven by the tenants of our mission; love of God, respect for all and the pursuit of academic excellence. As we enter summer we should all be proud of what has been accomplished over the past school year.
Father Tom reminded us during our last Mass to focus on our thankfulness. I am thankful for your continued support and your commitment to SBS. As so many Catholic schools face uncertainty I'm confident that we have weathered this storm and will emerge even stronger in the our coming school year...WE ARE STRONG!
As we wait for the final guidelines from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) for reopening, please be confident that we have already begun planning for various scenarios. I understand there are many concerns about what next school year will look like and I will make every effort to keep you informed of our the plans as they develop.
ASAP Fund - Lend your voice to this campaign! Our All School Assistance Plan (ASAP) has received just over $4,000! We have a ways to go to make our goal of $25,000 by the end of the month...but if we have learned anything this school year it is that perseverance pays off.
We have received donations from alumni, parents of alumni and current students, school board members and community partners! Please continue to spread the word and consider sharing with your connections. Click the link for more information about the Saint Bridget School All School Assistance Plan (ASAP) LINK
This will be my last weekly update for the school year. I will be sending out notices as plans develop for next school year.
I wish everyone a safe and peaceful summer.
All my best,
Matthew Collins
Principal
