Hello Mustangs!

We have had such a wonderful week! Many thanks to our parents who joined their children for Passport to Fitness on Tuesday evening. We had a sweaty but fun time! Thank you to our PE teachers, Laura Gates and Anna Owens, for providing this opportunity!

Many thanks to our families who participated in our restaurant day at Moe's! Our office staff kicked this event off for lunch and totally enjoyed! Thank you, PTO, for arranging family events with food and fun!

Parent conferences are continuing today and tomorrow. Please know that if you have not had this opportunity yet that it is coming. Our school goal is to conference with 100% of our parents. Lofty goal but one that we have achieved for the past couple of years. Together we bring success to our students! Thank you so much for attending these conferences as you are a huge part of our team!

Have a wonderful 3-day weekend...play outside and read a great book!!!

Yours truly,

Jan Fickling

21 days of Reading Challenge

The number one way you can help your child with their learning is to read at home! The research is there. So I challenge each of you this month to embark on this challenge. 21 days of reading with and/or to your child. Life can get so busy, but taking just a few minutes each day to sit next to your child and read a book will show them how important reading is, but also how important they are.

Sign up here: http://www.readaloud.org/21daychallenge.html

And take pictures! I'll be participating in this challenge both at Midway, reading aloud to classes, and at home with my own little person. Use the #21dayReadAloud and #MES21dayReadAloud

Let's get reading!

"Everyone is a reader, some just haven't found their favorite book yet."
