What's the scoop at the Luce?
Hello Luce Families,
In this bulletin, we will highlight excellence, joy, and inspiration. This week's bulletin will highlight STEM/STEAM week. Across the Luce, teachers engaged their students in authentically engaging STEM/STEAM projects. I have procured a photo album of the highlights from this past week's amazing week of learning.

Favorite Book Character Day (This Friday)
Who is your favorite character?
You're in luck! This Friday we will celebrate our favorite book characters. Children can come to school dressed as their favorite book characters. I can't wait to see all of the fabulous book characters on Friday.
There will be a prize for the student with the most creative book character design from each grade.
Donations Needed: Old Costumes, and Halloween Decorations Needed For the Luce Musical
Halloween decor :
Anything spooky or monster related, skeletons (especially full sized!), bats, spider webs, tablecloths, etc.
Costumes:
Again, monster related, anything furry that we could use for werewolves, black capes, etc.
If you are unable to donate a costume but can lend one, please email me to let me know at lamoury@cantonma.org.

Sunday Nov. 7th is Daylight Savings. Don’t forget to fall back one hour. To get our students ready for the time change, try adjusting their bedtimes 5-10 minutes later each night this week so that they are adjusted and ready to start their day on Monday.

Thank you to everyone who has participated in this fundraiser!!! We have done great! We only have 10 boxes left to sell. All payments are due on Friday, October 29.

**Although the bars are all peanut free, several of them do contain other types of nuts. The Almond, Milk Chocolate, Crisp and Dark Chocolate contain almonds and may contain other tree nuts.
The Wafer and Caramel Bars do not contain almonds or tree nuts
All bars are processed in a facility that also processes tree nuts and wheat.

Just a reminder, if you have ordered more than one box for a child, you can pick up the boxes on Tuesdays for the month of October. The times are 3:15-3:45 or 6:15 to 6:45. If you need to arrange other times, please send an email to lucecapt@gmail.com
5th Grade Circus is Back!
5th Grade Families, please save the evening of Friday, November 5th for the Circus. More details will be coming next week, but we are having the circus this year.

We are pleased to announce the Canton Board of Health will be offering flu vaccines on October 31, from 1:00-3:00 pm in front of the Rodman Building at 960 Washington Street.

Canton Stock is on November 6th
Musiccounts! presents Cantonstock on November 6th. If you would like to sponsor a student for a T-shirt, all orders should be submitted online by October 12th. Here is some more information:
Cantonstock is the annual music extravaganza that showcases hundreds of student musicians representing all performing ensembles in the Canton schools, and is the primary fundraiser for MusicCounts, the volunteer, non-profit group dedicated to supporting all music programs in all the Canton Public Schools!
This year, Cantonstock will be located outdoors at the Canton High School so you can enjoy student performances live in-person. The mission is to raise funds for music programming for all students!
